Whirlwind of Events

We have had a whirlwind of events happening for the last two months...too much to even keep track of! This post will have to be a mish-mash of happenings

In October we took a fun mini vacation to Utah (provo, layton, south weber, and salt lake). My best friend Cari Groo got married in the salt lake temple to a fun guy with a awesome Polynesian family- Sean Welsh. We got to take some pretty amazing portraits of them at the temple and also at the reception. The Sealing was one of the best we have been to and I bawled most of my way through it. While we were there we got to go to our two favorite restaurants, Tucanos and Cafe Rio. We love Cafe Rio for there to die for chocolate flan and we love Tucanos for the massive amounts of meat the waiters bring around your tables on steel skewers.

We got to visit some relatives while we were there and celebrate our only Halloween we would have. In South Weber we got to carve pumpkins for the first time using stencils. I found out I do NOT have patience for that at all! In fact I think my arthritis came back using all of those intricate tools! It was fun to set some time aside to have something halloween-ish this year.

On HALOOWEEN we finally could say we are home owners! Our closing unbelievably went through and we got our dream starter home in Bothell, Wa. It is really empty with our 1 1/2 bedroom of things but, we are excited to be in a place we can now call home. After we didn't get the other home we were trying to buy LAST Christmas we kept everything packed and have been in transition ever since! What a relief now. Now just to get ready for the baby and the holidays!

That is so exciting about your house! And of course your pictures are awesome as always. But I wanted to tell you that there is a restaurant like Tucanos in downtown Seattle. Joshua and I happened on it once, and we would love an excuse to go back. Maybe we can work it out some time!
